“Some people hate funerals. I find them comforting. They hit the pause button on life and remind us that it has an end. Every eulogy reminds me to deepen my dash, that place on the tombstone between our birth and our death.” – Regina Brett

Losing a loved one is never easy. Especially as there are so many things to organise.

It is widely agreed that funerals play a huge role in the grieving process, and should be orchestrated as much as possible by the deceased’s close family members. It is believed that by having a role in the final celebration of your loved ones life, it helps you to say goodbye, and therefore aids in your grieving.

In using a Civil Celebrant for the funeral service of your loved one, you are able to incorporate the personal touches that may not be able to be included in a religious ceremony. However, this does not mean that you can’t also incorporate spiritual readings in your civil ceremony.
